At Home – Kit

$67.50

This kit of loose components to build a robot arm controlled by fluid power is designed to be used at home as a great activity in STEM learning and as a virtual Challenge kit. There are two introductory kits included also. The components are drilled with suggested locations so as to avoid the use of drills at home. However cutting to length will be required and safety precautions will need to be in place.

Description

The kit contains two smaller “learning” kits – the Lifter and the Rotating Platform – designed to introduce different ways to join the materials – to create structures that support moving mechanisms controlled by air power (pneumatic). The components are pre-drilled and cut to length in these smaller kits. The loose materials are also predrilled and are designed to enable the construction of a working hydraulic robot arm using water. This kit contains a 118cc bottle of wood glue and a paper layout of the current NFPA Fluid Power Action Challenge layout.
